We are proud of a distinguished history. Prior to 2008 Spelthorne Choral Society was known as Ashford Choral Society, founded in 1920. Past highlights have included performances of Elgar's The Music Makers; Beethoven's Choral Symphony No. 9 at Eton College School Hall; Handel’s The Messiah accompanied by period instruments and recording a CD of Christmas music Joy to the World, which was released in 1997 featuring our former Patron, the late virtuoso organist Carlo Curley.

Spelthorne Choral Society is the foremost local choir welcoming members from across the Spelthorne borough, and beyond.

Conducted by Sean Bui, and accompanied by Lindsay Bridgwater, accomplished music professionals, we are an enthusiastic and friendly group of people singing a wide range of music of the highest quality: evergreens and novelties from Baroque to the present day. Rehearsals, including basic voice training, are methodical and at the same time great fun. We enjoy singing alongside professional soloists with a variety of piano, organ and orchestra accompaniment.
